Ancla Eterna is a ministry dedicated to serving people with disabilities in the rural communities of Baja California.
They provide specialized education, therapy, mobility training, and equipment for adults and children.
EMI México participated in a few collaborations with Ancla Eterna in the past, providing design and technical support.
“Choosing to collaborate with EMI was an easy decision. At Eternal Anchor, we believe our community deserves excellence, both in the services we offer and the installations we offer them in.
“EMI helps us create safe, functional, and beautiful spaces and buildings so we can continue to manifest God’s love to the marginalized people in our community.” — Ancla Eterna Director
Their vision for ministry is to see the children and adults with disabilities in the community welcomed and celebrated so they can reach their full potential for which God created them.
Today we celebrate our opportunity to participate in their most recent school project, which is in its first phase of construction.
The ministry needed their own permanent space to provide specialized education, which is currently taking place in a rented building not designed for the purpose.
The Ancla Eterna school was designed on a 3,200 square-meter plot of land with a slight longitudinal slope.
Now our job is to see these renders become reality for Ancla Eterna.
It will be a long road to these results, but this is why we are here.
The site is three hours from Ensenada and the EMI México office, which is an important factor in the planning and development of the work to be done.
“Since the beginning, we have had good communication with Francisco, the contractor in charge, which has been an important factor in being able to carry out a good job.” —Isaac Padilla EMI Staff Architect/CM.
Francisco executes the work EMI México designed, while we supervise the construction project.
We make budgets, quantify materials, obtain quotes and give construction recommendations to ensure the work meets the required standards.
“Beyond the work and technical issues, we are excited to be able to make strong ties between ministries and accompany them throughout the entire process. We want to see the mission to which they have been called fulfilled.
“We trust that God has connected us with Ancla Eterna and we will see lives transformed by Him and the world transformed by design. We know that God is using EMI México even in this construction process.” —Israel Padilla EMI Staff Civil Engineer/CM
