EMI's journey into construction services has been largely led by EMI Uganda. Global Programmes Director and former Uganda Director John Sauder shares his perspective along with former Site Engineer Richard Tatyabala, who played a founding role in EMI Uganda's construction programme.

There have been several stops for EMI's journey in Latin America. It hasn't always been smooth, but the goal of serving the Latin Church remains the same. EMI USA's Randy Larsen was involved from the beginning in Guatemala City, Jorge Aguero launched EMI's newest location in Mexico this year, and Olivia Iekel joined EMI Nicaragua after several years with a local NGO.

Over the last decade, local design professional staff have become vital to EMI, but it wasn't always so. EMI USA’s Gary MacPhee has seen the paradigm shift during his 25 EMI years. Former India staff architect Huberth Marak was EMI’s first full-time design professional staff member. And EMI Global Deputy HR Director Brittany Coulbert Adams was part of EMI Uganda’s growth in local design staff across 2011-16.
